Looking back

interior photography lake district

The weather was pretty kind to us last spring and summer and so were my clients. They were so understanding about my new bundle and the days I had out at work during my maternity were such a joy. Stone cottage was a particular favourite, a beautiful holiday cottage nestled at the bottom of Kirkstone Pass. Here are a few pics and the link to their site  www.sawdays.co.uk/britain/england/cumbria/stone-cottage   The most yummy Grasmere Gingerbread asked me to their HQ to shoot some […] Continue reading →

A new term

marniewp

Things have been very quiet on my website for the last year, I’m sorry for the lack of updates but here is the reason for my absence. This is Marnie, born in January and she has been keeping me very busy. I have had a bit of time off with my girls which has been lovely. They have even been doing a bit of modelling for me, hats off to family photographers because gosh it is hard to keep them still long enough to get good shots. So this is the start of a new term for me, watch this […] […] Continue reading →

Grizedale Lodge – A Lake District B&B with a French, shabby chic, boutique twist This place was a joy to shoot, nestled in the middle of Grizedale forest, yards from the bustling visitors centre, it’s setting is idyllic. Once you step inside the beauty of this place just gets better. The owners Debs and Richard Charley have transformed this B&B, with shabby chic painted furniture, glamorous vintage French fabrics, beautiful en-suites, even the tea trays are a joy. I was […] Continue reading →

office

Well we are live, not quite finished but on the way there. The new website went live on Sunday with much excitement (and a bit of fear that it would vanish). More office time is on the cards as I try and fill up my stock library but the portfolios are about done and the info pages complete, so have a good browse and I hope you enjoy it. Please let me know any comments, feedback, glaring mistakes. […] Continue reading →

After the Olympics and Jubilee last year we seem to be having a ‘Best of British’ revival. When I saw this great tablecloth embroidered with Union Jacks I couldn’t resist having a go at some Brit shots myself. They have a retro vintage feel and hopefully there is something for both sexes, which is a rarity in my work. Let me know what you think x […] Continue reading →

spring_flowers

So it is bitterly cold and snow is covering much of the country but it is actually spring believe it or not. I decided to cosy in today and edit some of my new Spring stock, it has brightened my mood and I hope it will brighten yours too. It always amazes me every year, the sight of these beautiful, cheerful flowers poking their noses out as soon as the days lengthen no matter what the weather. Please check out my stock page for the full Spring range and info on how to purchase stock images x […] Continue reading →

Snow day

Snowy teapot Lucy Barden Photography

Snow finally  came to Silverdale briefly this morning. So I dashed out to take a flew stock snaps, my daughter Bella thought it was Christmas all over again as I dug out my prop presents, crackers and decorations. The snow was falling hard and I set to making still life scenes set in the snowy garden. […] Continue reading →
