ARTICLE - Brand photography

BREIF - Lifestyle photography of drinks and accompaniments for use on social media and marketing, to raise the profile of the brand and give seasonal relevance.

Geoff and Mary from Lakeland Artisan got in touch as they were wanting to have professional photography shot for their website and for e-commerce sites such as Amazon. It was important they had good quality images on white that clearly showed the products and packaging. I spent a day and a half with them on site at Staveley, Cumbria in their unit shooting all the products with my mobile studio.

The lifestyle, brand photography was all shot in my studio and garden, I have a large variety of props that are available to my clients free of charge. I was able to produce a whole range of seasonal images that reflect the brand, giving serving suggestions and product information. The project has been a great success, the white background images have made their e-commerce clear and professional. The lifestyle images have raised their social media profile and given them new marketing options.

Think seasonally, nothing better than an image that speaks of the day, if it has been hot and sunny an image featuring a cool refreshing drink is going to appeal just as a cosy candle lit shot will appeal on a cold winters day.

Of course Christmas is the biggest time of year in retail, make sure you have plenty of imagery that fits to a Christmas theme, these images are invaluable for social media, marketing and product display. This client was heading off to the Christmas markets in Manchester and used the new branding, lifestyle photography to create a lovely backdrop on their market stall.
